Sri Aniket Chakravarty is one of the most promising & nationally acclaimed young Sarode exponent from Kolkata, West Bengal. Started learning Sarode from Pt. Alok Lahiri at very early age & then he took the intensive guidance under the tutelage of Sarode maestro Dr. Pandit Ranajit Sengupta of the traditional Maihar-Seniya gharana under Guru-Shishya parampara since last 18 years.
He is “B-high” grade Sarode player of all India radio & Doordarshan, Kolkata. He is an empaneled artist of ICCR, National scholar (Ministry of culture, Govt. Of India). He has been recipient of several awards like “Ustaad Ali Akbar khan memorial award from the MAIPAR, Young talent award trophy from the Sarbabharatiya sangeet o sanskriti parishad and many others.
He has also performed at many prestigious platforms across India and outside the country as well. Some of them are at Golestan palace, Milad tower in Tehran, Iran organized by ministry of external affairs, Govt. Of India with collaboration of ICCR, performed in Abu Dhabi, Dubai organized by Indian embassy, Govt. Of India, Pratibha Utsav at EZCC in Kolkata organized by Ministry of culture, Govt. Of India etc. He is also a studio session artist collaborating with many groups & musical personalities and provides Sarode training to the younger generation aspirants.
